With walk numbers currently reduced to only 10, there will obviously be some disappointment over whichever selection method is chosen. After much consideration, I think longevity with CVO Ramblers is probably paramount. Hence I propose to select on the following basis :

If, after the walk has been posted, there are only 10 walkers within 48 hours of the posting, those can go. If there are more than 10, then seniority with CVO Walkers will count. I have obtained the following information for recent walkers:

By the way, I see that yet another walking group has been set up in the Algarve. It is the Algarve Walking Meetup (part of the Meetup activities website).

Thanks for volunteering to do some walks David.....the MeetUp Group are Lagos based & I came across them once at the Mia Ria...I wondered what the noise was, must have been about 50. I think they charge for walks, not sure.

If anyone wants to lead an extra walk & is unsure of a route, quite happy to run an extra walk to show the way. Just contact me.

We are booked to go out in November but with quarantine in place I doubt we will make it, perhaps in the New Year.

Basically, limited to 10.....Russell & Linda are doing walks & selecting the first 10 that apply, but ( as above) I'm selecting those that have been walking the longest.

We'll be here in November and probably doing the odd recce walk : whoever is around ( usually at short notice) is welcome to come.

Need to keep an eye on the forum
