WALK - MONDAY 23 MARCH 2020 - ISLA ROSARIO CLOSED

Meet: Mia Rio Restaurant Time: 10:00am
We have not done this walk on a Monday for over 2 years, although both Willie and David have done walks from here quite recently. This is a walk by the confluence of the Arade and the Odelouca around the Ilha de Rosario. There are beautiful views of the river and Silves in the distance. We will be including a long uphill stretch near the start of the walk therefore this is a grade 3.5 energetic
Directions: from CVO, cross the bridge into Silves & turn left on the N124 towards Monchique/Portimao. After a little under 5 km you will see the Mira Rio cafe & restaurant on your left after a sharpish right hand bend. Parking is at the café. You can also take the N124 from Portimao to Silves and the café is 5km on the right.
Please wear suitable footwear, bring a drink and a walking pole if you require. All walks at your own risk, no charge of course.
The restaurant is not open on Mondays, therefore no coffee at the start. For those wishing to join us for lunch ater the walk we will drive further along the road in the directiion of Portimao to Cafe Ourique which is just after the village of Odelouca. If the weather is good we will be able to eat outside on the terrace. The set menu is within our 10 euros budget, including tip etc.
