Following Willie’s version of the walk in December, I thought that it would be nice to do it again in springtime. This is a slightly different version of the walk, which was led by Colin and Sharon in May last year.

This popular walk is by the confluence of the Arade and the Odelouca rivers around the Ilha do Rosário, with some wonderful views along the way. It is one of the most beautiful walks in the Algarve. There will be one uphill stretch, but otherwise it is not too strenuous.

Duration approximately 2 hours. 9Km

Lunch: At Restaurant Mira Rio (which we all know and love).

Directions: From CVO drive to Silves, cross the bridge and turn left on the N124 towards Monchique / Portimao. After a little under 5 km you will see the Restaurante Mira Rio on your left after a sharpish right-hand bend. Park at the restaurant.

Start: 10h00.....but please arrive by 09h45 if you want a coffee!

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 08h30 on the day of the walk.
