We will be out for an extra week , but anyone else around for a walk today as well as last thursday?......if so, will decide where and give details later, but will be about 2 to 2.5 hours.

This is a circular walk, along the beautiful coastline from Carvalho to Marinha beaches, combined with the countryside behind. About 2 to 2.5 hours. Some uphill gradients , but nothing terribly steep. There will be some loose shale on some of the cliff paths.

Degree of difficulty ( scale 1to 5) :2, Moderate

Wear walking boots or stout trainers, and bring some rainware, just in case. Walking poles are useful.

Shorts are not recommended , as some of the shrubs can be scratchy!

No charge, of course.

Directions : meet by beach bar at Benagil at 0930, please note earlier start time.

Parking should be OK, that time of year, on the steep down road. Alternatively, parking is available at the top.

I expect you all know how to get to Benagil. If not, then drive up restaurant hill and carry straight on for a couple of miles, passing the Tivoli Almansur on your right. Just before Rocha Brava, turn left signposted Benagil & follow signs for another 2 or 3 miles.

Any cancellation will be posted by 0830 in the morning.

Only 4 of us on a lovely walk that we hadn't done for some time, beautiful blue skies and gorgeous views. We welcomed newcomer Caroline, who adventurously climbed the Cavalho Watchtower:





We took rather longer than usual, mainly due to admiring the lovely views :

A great end to the spring/summer walking season. hope to see you all in November.

I can echo Geoff's sentiments and would like to thank him for another year of fantastic walks.
