A new walk, predominantly flat , along the lavada and through orange groves. About 2 hours.

Degree of difficulty : 1 Easy....a rest after last week's!

Directions : From Carvoeiro, drive to Lagoa and turn right at the traffic lights for about 0.5km on the N125. Bear right at the next traffic lights, going past the Fatacil on your right. Ample parking on your left, the Barca Velha restaurant is about 200m on your left.

Meet outside the restaurant for a prompt 1000 start.


Usual caveats: all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain.....I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0900 on the day of the walk.

Walking boots/stout trainers , walking pole(s), hats and water recommended. No charge, of course.

Please advise if you are intending to come . I expect the restaurant would appreciate some advance notice of numbers, so please also state if you will want lunch.

No Geoff, Sue will be coming out with me on a trip later in the month with our eldest daughter but they will be leaving before the walk on 1st December, which I should be able to make. I'll manage a bike ride on the afternoon of these walks. Perhaps the walk in December will be a bit more challenging.

Yup, that will be a lovely walk from Cafe Casinhas.....by special request of Karen & Caroline if I recall....don't think you have done it....not too stretching, but certainly a lot more uphill work!
