A 2 hour level(ish) walk in some lovely countryside, ending at a nice cafe that does a mean tosta mixta!

Driving from CVO to Silves, do NOT go over the bridge but continue up the hill with the Hotel Colina dos Mouros on your left.
After 3.7km, fork left where the road divides, in direction of Algoz.
After a further 2km ( 5.7km from the Silves bridge) you will be in Poco Barreta. Park by station on right at end of village, opposite Cafe Snack-bar Sustelo.
Do NOT go over level crossing.

(For those that know the area, you can go inland from Lagoa and come out at a T junction just past the level crossing : in which case, turn left and park opposite cafe).

Meet at 10.00. Stout trainers or walking boots recommended. Hopefully, sun hats and water as well!

Just a note to get this back to the top & say that Ray & Sandra will be there!

Bearing in mind the cooler weather over the weekend, monday started clear & sunny and warm in the sun......once walking, jumpers came off and we sat in the cafe in shirt sleeves!
We had some new faces to welcome...Colin, Harpo & Joy, Keith & Chris ( I think!) and Rob(4eyes).....23 in all started out, but we nearly only finished with 22 as Su decided to go back & look for Sue , who ( after a comfort break) had lost her bearings & departed from the trail! All ended well though!

Enjoyable walk and pleasant company even though I was Robbed in the photo.

Now building up my fitness to join you on further occasions.
