New walk reconnaissance : 17 & 18 January , 2013
Sue & I think we have found a new and interesting walk near Silves, but need to test it out.....we will do this on thursday, and anyone who wants to come and join us will be very welcome.....BUT we can't guarantee how long/arduous it will be, but will aim for about 2 hours. It will entail some hill climbing, but they don't look too bad, but we have only checked out the first 10 minutes or so, so could have surprises!
Please indicate if you can come.
If it's wet, we won't be going.

Start : 1000
Directions:
From CVO, go to Silves and cross the bridge. Turn right on the N124 , and bear right over the roundabout after about half a kilometer.
Go past the Galp petrol station , on the left , and turn left opposite the residential guest House Vila Sodre which is about half a kilometer on your right.
After about 30m, turn right and park after about 100m, just before the Cafe Cantinho do Enxerim.......IF you go over the bridge on the N124, you have gone too far!

6 of us had a good recce, a shade over 2 hours, excellent walk BUT a rather vertical/shaley last 50 feet.....returning tomorrow to re-recce! even the cafe was good, with coffee/beer at 80cents! We'll bring a pack of cards next time, and join the locals!

Being gluttons for punishment, we walked the route again, looking for a better descent, but with limited success!
