Walk 7 January 2013, Eucalyptus Woods, Silves
Posted: Sun Dec 30, 2012 5:06 pm
Hi all
A fairly gentle introduction to the new walking season, and one we haven't done since september 2011, so hope we remember the way!
10.00 start, fairly easy walk with a long slow uphill gradient and lovely views from the top, about 2 hours. One steep , but short, bit. We also visit the windmill.
Stout trainers should suffice, boots better. Poles if you have them!
Don“t forget some water and a hat!....and perhaps some rain wear!...but if its very wet, we won't be going.
Directions:
From CVO, go over bridge into Silves and turn left on N124.
Drive about 2kms , past Continent supermarket on right hand side.
Take first right, drive about 1 km till reach " No Entry " sign : turn left then right after about 50 yards, and park in square in front of the Cantinha da Lina.
Any problems, ring 282 380015 before 0915.
Please indicate below if you can come.
No charge, of course.
All walks are at your own risk.
Hope to see you all
Geoff
PS
I am not absolutely sure if the cafe is open on a monday in January : are there any readers nearby who could perhaps check? If not, am sure we can find another!
