Casinhas Orange Groves

In the absence of our estimed leader Geoff, who has returned to colder climes, I have been volunteered(?) to lead next Mondays walk which will be a pleasant walk through orange groves and other rural delights.

Track is fairly undulating but nothing too demanding. There is a long gradual climb near the beginning of the walk on which we will have a couple of rest stops. Thereafter nothing too steep, but frequent rest stops.

It is ESSENTIAL that you indicate below if you can come , and whether you want lunch.
If there is an unexpected avalanche of walkers then unfortunately numbers will be limited to about 20.

Degree of difficulty : 3 (ish)

Duration about 2 hours .

Meet at Cafe Casinhas - parking on roadside.

Start : 1000....coffee may be available at cafe but not guaranteed she will be open.

Lunch after walk....this will be at Casa de Pasto Norinha, a short drive away. Menu is attached, please let me know by Saturday  if you want lunch and your menu choice.

Directions:
From CVO, drive to Silves and go over bridge, turn right.
At the roundabout, follow the N124 in direction of Messines.
After about 400m, almost opposite the Galp petrol station on your left, turn right on to " Turismo Rural".
Follow this for about 2.5 kms, when you will see the Cafe Casinhas on your right.

Walking boots/stout trainers recommended and walking poles.

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.
