Walk, Monday 20th May 2013: Paderne Castle

By popular request we are off to Paderne again.

Meet at 10:00 a.m in Paderne at the small health centre car park between the cemetery and football stadium. Coming into Paderne on the N270 from the Albufeira end (i.e. from the west) the cemetery and the car park are on the right

We will follow the circular "PR1 Percurso do Castelo" walk (river permitting) which should take around 2hrs (medium difficulty with no steep slopes or gradients)

Wear walking boots or stout trainers, and bring some rainwear, just in case.

All walks at your own risk, and usual caveats about weather.

It's cold here too Geoff. Your UK weather is coming our way and we're all getting our winter clothes back out of storage. At least we won't have to carry much water with us on Monday. xx

Hi Mike....how was it?....Jan & Otter were thinking of coming, did they make it?

Mike reports that the pre walk weather was wet and thinks that it might have put some folks off but six of us,
Richard, Trish, Su, Roz, Phil (and Mike) set off and it actually remained dry for the whole walk.

Trish is organising a walk next Monday, starting in Silves, but she is still finalising details and so
I have posted a new subject sem directions for the time being.
