Slow to catch up Sunman.since that article BBC3 will be going over to internet only with the BBC carrying out research in how to deal with the decline in " live TV Viewing " You do not need to be a genius to realise that the way foward is going to be maybe two Free channels with the rest on subscription.

The BBC relies on the license fee passed on to it by government.
You do not need a license to watch BBC via the internet.
Therefore revenue will fall .
How will the BBC finance itself in the future by charging for more and more of its services, by introducing subscription channels for those using the internet.

I suspect the BBC iPlayer will become like the Sky GO app - you will need to sign-up to the BBC and as long as they recognise you as a license payer, then you can watch it for free - otherwise, you pay a fee. Simple.EMM wrote:The BBC relies on the license fee passed on to it by government.
