Porches Pottery
Porches Pottery
Does anyone know how much the large terracotta urns/vases are from any of the poetteries along the N125? I am looking for something about 1m high
. I have been told that they will ship to the UK but I don't know whether it is cheaper to buy something from a garden centre in the UK or buy from Porches and ship.

Hi Janey, we bought two of those pots a couple of years ago from Casa Grade in Porches (on the EN125 on the left if heading towards Faro, big frontage). They were 140 euros each. They are not the really huge ones you see in some places but about 90cm tall in brownish terracotta, about the size you mention. Dont know whether they could be shipped to the UK - but believe that Casa Grade do offer that service. You could email them on
casagrade@sapo.pt
or phone them

They were very helpful when we were in their earlier this year.
Hope this helps

we've bought lotsa goodies from Casa Grade over the years and couple years ago we had a tea chest-ful of stuff shipped over by them..including pottery (all different things from egg cups to pots), and tiles too, which spell out our house name.
It wasn't the huge pots but I would think they could ship them over for you.Couldn't guess the cost though.
Ive just asked H and he says our tea chest cost about £35 for overland delivery and it took about 3 weeks to arrive here..which I think was pretty good and.............nothing broken
Don't know if this is any help to you?
good luck
p.s. Yes,they are very nice folk in there. The old chap who did own it, was Geninia's uncle out of Colombos.. sadly he passed away a year or 2 ago. His son & daughter took over running it after he became ill with strokes.
