Hello,

My family and I are coming to CVO in October to stay at the Palm Gardens resort. Can anyone tell me what it is really like as I have only seen little pictures of it in the brouchure?
Having found this website, I have been printing pages off and handing them round the family for them to look at and get excited over! We all really need a holiday and are really looking forward to two weeks of realxing. What is the weather like in October?
Also, we will have a car while in CVO, can anyone recommend any"must see or do's" while in the Algarve.

I'd recommend spending a day at Point St. Vincent, and visit the Forteleza (Henry the Navigator), as well as the little monestry that is a pousada now next to the Lighthouse at Point St. Vincent. There are splendid wild beaches on the western Algarve that are must visits. Hopefully the hut restos on the beaches will still be open in Oct.. Get a good map of sw & western Algarve

Weather will be pleasant during the day and kind of cool in the evening.

Also a trip into the Alentejo region will bring images of the Serengeti desert to mind.

We will holidaying mid-October, a choice month if you are not really fanatics of tipping your toe in the ocean.

The algarve is a great during october! i have been several times in october and i would say is great for tipping your toe in the ocean, if you like that kind of thing! I have found the weather to be basically very similar to mid summer here in England ( the few good bits!) we did get a few showers last year but on the whole very good. Anyway my family will also be there mid october (week before half term) maybe well bump in 2 you! hope this is of help! ps. definatley get excited because your in for a great time!

P.S check out the safari that runs up the mountains of monchique, great for families!

I know this resort very well. It is on a cliff top with two beaches accessible either side (a bit of a climb !!) Quite a lot of the apartments have been re-furbished during the winter and if you stay in one you will be more than satisfied.
Apart from the reception and swimming pool there is a small bar and restaurant on site. It is possible to walk into the village if you do not want to take the car all the time. If you want to see more pictures and information go on the companys website www.pestana.com
