Goodbye Guests

This was the last bastion of the Carveoiro.com, where guests could come and look and take part.
I think Im right in saying, that members only can post on this site now?

Although Ive always wished for and requested and strongly upheld, that one of the forums such as 'general' could stay open for guests to browse or post and decide whether to join or no, I do realise, that with all the awful, unsavoury, spamming that has increased lately, I don't blame Steen for making it all members only now.
Even so, Im still sad that its had to come to this :(

So its goodbye from Cleopatra..as the clicking of needles fades gradually into the sunset............

Hopefully we'll drop off the spamposters lists and be able to get back to normal again...

to be honest, i don't see a problem with having to register. If someone feels strongly enough about a subject or would like to ask a question, i don't think that registering will deter potential posters

I am online most of the day and I always have CVO open on my browser, because of this 'always-logged-in' status I get to see nearly all of the daytime spam . . . . and I can tell you, there's a lot of it; especially recently, all of it from so-called 'guests'.

OK, so we might miss a few of the regular guests who have kept us entertained but, they can always register and post and still be anonymous.

If a genuine guest has a need for information then they can still log in and look - and if they need to ask a question they can register and do so . . . . no big deal.
