I seem to remember seeing that the car tax on 4x4 vehicles has increased considerably. I would be grateful if anyone could confirm if this is the case. Thanks.

I'm not sure if it has but I certainly hope so. The parking in Carvoeiro is bad enough without anymore tonka toys filling up two spaces at once! Mike,Chistlehurst

yes they were taxed as agricultural vehilces but about two years the tax changed..guess where...upwards and into outer orbit...result no one can afford to buy them anymore and the result is according to the vehicle sellers org...the market is now what they term extinct.
pity because 4 whee drive vehicles are needed here with the appaling standard of roads...most of the roads here are potholes with tarmac in between

Is it just tax on buying them, or on annual road tax?
