:D Can anyone tell me what Monte Dourado is like to stay at. We are considering renting an apartment in September for a week. What is the communal pool like, what are the apartments like. Is it clean and comfortable. Do they provide bedding or do we have to. Infact any information would be greatly appreciated from anyone in regards to the complex. We have chosen it because of the proximity to the shops, bars and beach etc and cos it was cheapish. Need the dosh to spend in the bars and restuarants etc. Many thanks ahead of time for anyone that replies, as we do appreciate all replies in regards to any of our previous queries and future ones. It is sometimes easy for me to forget to say thanks but all the topics, news and replies are well appreciated by us. 8)

Hi BSJ,
Just to tell you.. I have stayed in Monte Dourado about 6 times over the past 2 years and have booked again for September.
The apartments are very nice and comfortable, very clean. You dont need bedding or towels and they are serviced (cleaned & towels changed)well. I always enjoy my stay there. Its great to be within minutes walking distance of the beach and nice bars & restaurants.
I highly recommend :)
Hope you have a lovely time..Im sure you will!

Hi there,
I've stayed in Monte Dourado many times and have never been disappointed . The staff are very friendly and efficient. Do you know if your apartment is at sealevel ? If not, then you've got quite a climb to the upper level.Hope you enjoy yourselves,

Craig.

I have stayed here many times & never been disappointed. The apartments are really nice. Each section has its own pool & the upper section is usually quite quiet. The apartments are also close to the restaurants, bars & the beach. You will not be disappointed.Enjoy!

Like Ellie, we have also found that they are mosquito free.
If you're tennis players bring a racquet - they can be hired from reception but cheaper to provide your own. They also have a small library in reception and I think internet access now.
The only downside to apts. is that there are lots of steps and you are now expected to lug your case up to the apts - not easy! and has been mentioned the apts. up near reception are up a steep hill.
Also try and get an upper floor apt. with balcony as it gives a bit more privacy as the apts. are very near the pool areas.
Enjoy your holiday 8)

Yeah you're right there guest (about mossies)....in all my stays at Monte Dourado, I never got one bite..never seen a mossie in there!
But I do take extra precautions by eating Marmite toast for brekky each morning..just as an insurance
Yeah Im sure Ive seen internet access in reception too.
Taxi takes me to reception for keys, then drops me at entrance..then I get lift to apartment. So I dont have prob with any stairs.
Its like home to me there now!

Yes we stayed at the apartments on the lower level and really enjoyed our stay. There was an elevator to the top floor. If you are staying at the upper level then there is a steep hill to walk. Internet access is available at the office for a euro per ten minutes and there are several other locations available in the village.

Hi Lizzie,
yeah, nice lady Nelly. Last time I was there and went for the keys, she said 'Well hello, nice to see you back...seems like you've never been away'
Its true
Hope your trip went well.
