I am arriving in Carvoeiro on the 8th June. I am hoping to play 3 rounds of golf. Can anyone recommend courses that I should pay a visit?

Hi there we visited CO last July for the 1st time and we played at vale de milho, pinta and gramacho. Vale was a good short course good condition and fairly easy to play and the other two are long 18 holes. All the Golf was so good we are coming back in Sep. If you hunt and barter we got eighteen holes at Gramacho including buggy for aroun £35 happy days. The best course i have ever played Happy Golfing

PLated Gramacho last sat late afternoon ( 18 holes ) 30 euros incl pull trolley.
Condition not too bad but still needs time to recover from drought of last two years.
Also Vd Milho on sun morning, no real comparison really, v busy and 18 euros ( 9 holes ) with discount coupon, judge value for your self.

Played Gramacho in February and March this year. Booked and payed 25 euros to play twilight golf. If you are nice to the starter they usually will let you get on earlier. Most of time we got 18 holes in by darkness. Otherwise the Twilight price is good value for whatever number of holes you play. Pinta offers twilight rate in the non high season for 30 euros.
Both courses are great for exercise. Helps to be part mountain goat.
If you want cheap rentals of full sets of clubs and carts, try the golf shop to the right just when you are driving into Carvoeiro. His rentals are half the price they charge at the golf courses and they are just as good. The shop is just beyond the used book store (which is on the left side driving in). He also lets you try out clubs if you are looking at buying some.
Have fun.
