I have a faint recollection that there was a car hire company associated with this site which offerd to match/exceed any other company's rental quote even where this included any additional excess. Does the company in question still exist? If so, do they still make the offer to match any other quote (inc any extras)? Hope someone can help here - for which my thanks in advance.

We have used YOR/algarve-driver company many times and found them to be very good - particularly when dealing with a pranged car a few years ago. However, they are not always the cheapest - and they are not able to insure under 23yr olds - something that zitauto has been able to do (our 21yr old daughter last year). I have frequently found that zitauto IS cheaper, particularly in high season and whilst the website company will match the price, it is a pain having to constantly refer quotes back to them in order for them to match prices.

Funny how I feel guilty saying this - it would be nice if we could know that the algarve-driver/YOR company was ALWAYS the cheapest - I'm all for being loyal to the site !

We have found Auto-europe car hire to always be the cheapest and if you are coming into Faro airport they use Avis, if flying into Seville and driving to CVO they use Crown Car hire. and often have special deals.
