we are staying in carvoeiro again this summer and really enjoy bbq,s but we struggle with the material that we purchase from the local supermarket (like a dried wood) it tends to light very well glow for a short while and then turn into an inferno,has anyone any suggestions please

Charcoal is available at most of the larger supermarkets - should not be a problem
