It was surprising how many magazines and newspapers featured travel articles on the Algarve on the past few weeks, is this something to with the fact that Thomas Cook have reported a 25% drop in bookings for Turkey and Eygpt this summer and countries such as Latvia and Croatia arnt doing as well as expected. Spain and Portugal bookings are 26% up on last year apparently.
