We are hoping to return to Carvoeiro next May during whitsun week after 3 holidays in Carvoeiro but none for last couple of years.

We will be bringing a group of approx 20 people with us! to golf and enjoy all that Carvoeiro has to offer. Can anybody suggest either:

1. An airline that is good for group bookings and what I can expect to pay for flights at that time of year.

2. A restaurant that would be a good place to celebrate my 40th birthday and would be able to cater for a group like this at a reasonable price.

Any Thoughts would be helpful

Thanks

Ian - initial thought is DON'T FLY AT WHIT unless you really, really have to. It is the most expensive week of the year because it is the only time when ALL UK schools have exactly the same week off and since it is only for a week everybody tries to fly on the Saturday or the Sunday.

If your choice of Whit week is not because of shcool holidays you will save yourself a fortune by flying out mid week and returning after the weekend.

Apart from that I am sure it is a question that will generate a lot of replies ...

Sounds fun, why don't you check on line for May this year and make a few phone calls to the airlines, chances are this years fares will be similar next year given the odd fuel charge! Steer clear of Thursdays and the weekends, fares are considerably cheaper. As for restaraunts. O Cantino or Chef Antonio numbers of whitch appear on FAQ section.

Depends where you need to fly from....
try also Monarch Scheduled (www.flymonarch.com)
Thomsonfly (www.thomsonfly.com)
FlyBe as previously mentioned and of course good old British Airways (but operated by GB Airways ex Gatwick) www.ba.com
I think BMI Baby noe do Faro too ex East Midlands.
Most of the airlines are now releasing their Winter 2006/07 seats but not sure quite how far ahead they go.

My friend's 40th birthday party was held at O'Rafoil and they were wonderful - making the evening very special. They are located on the right almost at the end of the 'out' road.
