Hi,
Last Tuesday we went to the orange restaurant and had a brilliant time
there. The food was fabulous and the service outstanding. I would particularly like to say thanks to the waitress who works there (Anna?) however I cannot find a E-MAIL adres of the restaurant. Does anyone know the mailadres of the orange bar?

The "Restaurante Orange" is located next to Holiday resort e.g. Villapark Quinta Do Paraiso. I believe the area is called 'Mato Serrão'.

Yes "l'Orange" is excellent and is close to Vila Nova Resort Mato Serrao - its always been v.g. when we've been there.
Don't think they have an email address but their telno is 282-357.297.

I did indeed find the telephone number. However I just wanted to send the waitress there an e-mail for a particular reason. At the end of our fabulous dinner there she suddenly asked me to go out that evening. I was very impressed by the girl the whole evening but did not expect her to ask me this. I was surprised. The only thing I could say was "maybe". (I have a rather shy character). Afterwards I would have liked to say more to her and explain that I possibly could not come because of my early flight the following morning. I just want to tell her that I found it very sweet of her to ask me and that she seems like a very nice girl. Under other circumstrances I would definately have wanted to go out with her and get to know her better.

Anyway, the girl you talk about is called Angela, she is from the Ukrain, and married to Anatoliy, who is a waiter at Mitz. We know them both quite well. Her English is rather good but apparently not good enough... Pretty sure she did not ask you out on a date but was merely inquiring about your plans for the night.

. . . I am guessing that you haven't paid to advertise on this site, and therefore it would be unfair to those who have to use the forum as a platform for free advertising . . . although if you have paid, then clearly you have a legitimate complaint and need to take Steen to task.

Hi Rob,

I do know the waiter at Mitz who happens to be a nice guy. We had dinner there. Great place, good food! (too bad they currently hold a building site as a view though)

I don't think we are talking about the same girl here as the waitress I am talking about told me she is Portuguese and has been living in Portugal all of her life. (She has a Portuguese father and a Dutch mother). Her Portuguese is fluent and she speaks Dutch rather well.

. . . poetic or "desperate" . . . I am not sure, but what I do know is if something happens to me that makes me smile and glow inside, then I want to identify what triggered those feelings, remember it and hold it close to me, perhaps more so on days when things are looking a lot less bright.

. . . it is about being passionate . . . you need to uncover the full range of emotions - sadness, anger, joy, excitement - assuming you express all these emotions appropriately . . . then you are a well-rounded and passionate person who gets the most out of life!

Without pain, how do you recognise pleasure; without despair, how do you recognise joy, etc.

Perhaps a bit deep and meaningful for a thursday afternoon, but everything we do is about the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviour - between stimulus and response is a space and therein lies our freedom to choose our response ( some anonymous guests chose to be arsey for example). (Cognitive-Behavioural theory in a one sentence easy lesson - somehow I am guessing the purists may be horrified!!)
