Hello there!

Travelling out to CVO for the first time this Saturday and staying at the QDP! Booked in on a few golf courses and looking forward to a relaxing week with hopefully a few hazy nights.

Can somebody recommend the best bars and restaurants at the moment....really want to try some of the finest local cooking (especially seafood!) as well as the best bars for atmosphere!

Oh, and if there's any other small groups in CVO next week who fancy meeting up for a few drinks let me know!

Well Yen, welcome to Carvoeiro.

Hope you have a fantastic time.

First of all, will you have a car there? There are loads of restaurants in Carvoeiro but also some nice ones further afield.

Rascals is a really nice bar near the main square
If you fancy a spot of karaoke, try the Round Up Saloon
The Havana bar have nice cocktails

For the restaurants, I would suggest Rui's Marisqueira in Silves for the seafood.
In Carvoeiro, Ela & Ela, Maxime, Casa Palmeira, A Vela (the list goes on).
And in Benagil, A bordo com O Carlos.

As for small groups, I'm not sure who is around but you are welcome to join us at Algar Seco on Thursday for the cvo.com meetings.

I will be at our villa on QDP from late Sunday 23rd (with girlfriend 'til hubby joins us on Friday 28th)and would be happy to meet up sometime to give you our suggestions for places to go etc. Am also intending to go up to Algar Seco on the Thursday evening to catch up with Roy et al. Thanks Thunderbolt and Alison....that's given us plenty of advise on bars and restaurants!

We will have a car for the week. We are playing 4 rounds of golf so I thought it wise to get a little motor to run us and all our kit around.

I'm not sure where we will be staying on the QDP resort - all I know is it will be a C2 Bungalow??? It's through my parents Sunterra timeshare, unfortunately my mom is quite ill at the moment so they will not be able to use their points this year.....so I've snapped them up!
