I was looking at the Events Calendar for August and the search came back with "No Records Returned" Is there anything happening then?

August is the month of the fatacil (atrs, crafts and industry fair) and the Festa de Carvoeiro which is on the lasts Sunday of August and always good for fireworks fans!

Recommend the Fatacil --we used to go evening time, when we lived in Lagoa--remember having some good "grub" there too--like steak sandwiches----
Tell me --with the Festa de Carvoeiro--the fireworks -- do they still let them off in their hands? I used to watch horrified at this. Remember watching from our Lagoa apartment --a young man on nearby rooftop --lighting and letting of rockets in his hand !
Does this still happen? or are things a bit more organised now?
