Hi there. I have booked an apt at the Vila Nova at the end of August, for myself, husband, son and the in-laws. It our first time visiting Carvoeiro and actually our first time in Portugal so we are really looking forward to the trip. Can anyone tell me anything about the surrounding location of the Vila Nova and how far out of the town it is? Any feedback would be welcome!
Thanks
Jackie (Oxford)

You will love Vila Nova.
Its slightly out of town, about a 10 minute walk - but that makes it nice and quiet and there are some bars/restaurants on the way to help you long. The small complex is run by Isabel and Anibal who will be only to glad to help in any way. The restaurant/Bar is great and very reasonably priced and there is a large pool, children's pool and playground. I think car hire is always recommend in the Algarve to get to the best beaches
anyway. Any other questions - don't hesitate to ask

I fully agree with tricky. Our villa is walking distance from Vila Nova so we use their restaurant from time to time when we visit. The food is always excellent, the staff very friendly and the prices extremely reasonable.

You'll find the young woman on reception "Alex" very nice and helpful too.
We're spending our second two weeks there this year. Had a good time there last year.
