There is every possible encouragement around here to do very little, apart from lolling on the beach or around your private pool by day,
and drinking and dining out by night 
Follow the signs to Algar Seco - there's ample parking between there and the village. Have your camera at the ready for the stunning views on the way down to the square.
The Lagoa district, within which Carvoeiro is set, produces red, white, rosé and fortified wines. To see how they are made and taste some samples,
arrange an hour-long tour of Lagoa's winery, the Adega de Cooperative de Lagoa.
