Is anyone familiar with the "Prainha" resort

Is anyone familiar with the "Prainha" resort complex near the town of Alvor? It was our favorite Algarve accommodation in the 90's but friends who visited in 2000 say the building and rooms were showing age and in need of reno. Hoping someone will know if upgrading has been done. We are planning a trip next spring and would dearly love to go back to Prainha but will be disappointed if it has gone downhill.
Thanks

We used to go there but I drove past it the other day and was quite shocked by the state of it.

The buildings definitely need a lick of paint but I can't comment as to the interior of it.

Some of my clients stay there and love it.

But, I confess I was rather shocked when last year I went to the Spa's reception with a friend and the ceiling was peeling. Plus, they did not accept cards for payments, which put my friend off.

I wouldn't be able to comment on anything else as I don't know!!

Thanks.

Sounds like we will pass on the Prainha this time.

We are now looking at the Alvor Park or the Pestana Alvor Park --am guessing it's one and the same. Perhaps you would know something about it? Or any other recommended accommodations that are self-catering in or near town.

Just a thought having gone away and thought about it - when I was a child "everyone" visiting Portugal went to Cascais and Estoril, then saw the Algarve rise - we first came to Albufeira and after hiring a car and visiting as many places as we could stumbled upon Carvoeiro - since 1990 we have been returning to Carvoeiro as often as possible. Not just me and my family, but my parents, my brother and his family, ex boyfriends/girlfriends of my brother and I who visited with us when we were younger and have subsequently gone on to visit with the familiies they now have.

Isn't anything that promotes The Algarve good? And if they eventually find cvo then brilliant.

I am sure that Spam man will soon realise if he doesn't already that maddi has nothing similar to a sense to humor, thinks it is ok to behave like a school teacher and likes nothing better than going on constantly about how much money she has, how she flies here and there, how she has been on holiday absolutely everywhere, how rich and famous her relations are and lastly but most importantly how much nicer and more important she is than you and everyone else.
Oh and she takes offence very easily as you can see, what with her being like royalty and so on.

Guest,
You and I like everybody else, have our faults and what you say may or may not be true, but please think about how much your words can hurt someone, even though that person's words and actions may hurt you. If we allow their words and actions to get to us and then we do like wise, then do we not become the same :?: But I do understand and I know how very very difficult it is at times not to fight back. But there are always alternatives. This is my gift to you today:-

I take my power!
I stand up for myself.
I stand up for others who are being hurt.
I break into my mean thoughts that I use to beat myself up.
I am powerful when I use my fair and firm words.
