I am always hearing these days about indenity fraud etc..but its always surprises me that when ever you go to a multibank machine - people have just thrown down their receipt slips which reveal and tell so much (account no how - much in account etc ) and I suppose to those who have the will to do could be used to empty their accounts of lots of money.

An extremely good point Martin and I for one always make sure that the receipt is carefully, tucked about my person, before leaving the machine etc.

Yes very true Martin, I always take mine home and at the end of the month, after checking my account against all debits I shred them and eventually they end up getting burnt as I use the shredded paper for bedding for my two guinea pigs!

Account number is not complete in the slip. Just the last few digits.

Thank you for letting us know about this and yes I have checked a recent receipt and one of my cards has 16 Numbers...but only the last 7 actually appear. But as an extra precaution and of course for checking at a later date my accounts I also as stated above keep my receipts from cash machines and the like safe.
