I've just been surfing t'internet for holidays in June. Not going to Turkey this year but are considering Algarve.

I've found flights for £150 departing 13 June to 20 June and I've found accommodation at Bayside Salgados, Albufeirafor £114. Does anyone know what this place is like?

If I were to book these flights, how difficult is it to get accomodation in June?

when looking for our apt we were shown one at the bayside, we were not impressed.
Close to Salgados golf it is no doubt influenced by the huge development going on in that area.

When we come in April we'll take a look at it. If we don't like it we won't go there :)

Anyway, we've booked the flights and will be spending our first ever summer holiday in the Algarve . . . wherever we might be staying 8)

Bayside sounds like a great deal, could not match this for our 2 bd 2 bth aircon apt on club albufeira.

Sounds like a very good deal...but I suppose it would be as you'll be practically staying on a building site! Give it a couple of years and it will be very nice!

We'll check it out at Easter. If we don't like it we'll find somewhere else.

It is a good price - and we are used to building sites - after all, we do holiday in Turkey!

Salgados beach is really nice too, MC. I used to meet some friends down there quite a lot. It has toilets, showers and a decent café and is good for kids and the elderly/disabled, as there are no steps, just straight onto the sand. If you want to sunbathe in the nuddy, walk in the Armacão de Pêra direction and you can let it all hang out.
