What is the situation with Mosquitoes in the month of March? Will we need repellent? Should we bring one of those electric sound emitter’s things for the bedroom at night?

From past experience you will not be bothered, but there is no harm in using the various devices available. Howevere, even in peak summer months the the ultra violet contraptions never seem to catch anything!

I am always in CVo in March and have never seen a Mosquito.

No, I haven't either Canada. I usually stay at Monte Dourado aparts and never seen a mossie in one, or been troubled outdoors..
BUT Joe...to be on safe side, I take Mike,Chislehurst's advice and eat Marmite on toast for brekkie as its supposed to ward off Mossies!
Is it the yeast or vitaminB or something?
If you don't like Marmite I believe Avon do a very good spray but can't remember name

My wife got bitten yesterday --- by a mozzie, before the wisecracks come in !!

Bloody things are getting used to colder weather - nest stop U.K.

We find April & September the worst for mossies. Having said that, I got bitten last week in CVO, but I think it was sitting out at dusk that did it - always a dangerous time.

we were over for new year and all 6 of us got bitten.

On Meai Praia Golf course Lagos. to-day, surounded by the dam things. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I think we shall come prepared. Eucalyptus oil, Electronic zappers, Avon, Nets, Marmite (To eat on toast and rub on!) and a big rolled up newspaper just in case!
