Hi
Does anyone know what i need to do to get married in Carvoeiro? I have been searching online for a wedding planner in the Algarve but can only find a company based in UK - which is fine but would prefer someone out there.
Thanks
Sam

A partner of the opposite sex would be a good start

Shut Up Michael
Hi Samb,
I have been to Portuguese weddings/sit down meal etc, but I have a feeling not what you may really be looking for.
The only one that I have heard about is as follows, but I have no personal experience of their services. But as you will see by their website they do supply a brochure etc:-
http://www.robertsfoy.com/
If you do use them or anyone else can you let the forum or Michael (Crane) know..because he is in charge (god help us all)

of the FAQ section....and we have had your question asked before...but no feed back...good luck..

ps Could ellie and I be bridesmaids, we promise to be very very good and therefore, well behaved...but if Michael asks to take the photos you would be well advised to say NOoooooooooooooooooooo

Last August we attended a wedding reception.
The actual venue was close to the Apolónia Supermarket in Almancil and the following maybe of interest-
The venue setting was beautiful.
However, on arrival canapes were laying on tables outdoors with little shade and insects buzzing round.
The buffett was already laid out and prior to the guests arrival for the main meal.
The main meal was poor.
We spotted a rat climbing over the top of the Marquee.
Suffice to say we consumed very little that day and we noticed other English guests doing likewise.
The Portuguese hosts I have no doubt where charged a great deal for this service.
I do not believe that I need to make any further comment on this particular venue.

Andre Oliveira Eventos.....as mentioned earlier in the forum. I've been to a few weddings, put together by them. They'll cater at any venue...I've been to one at Colina Village & another at Casa Domilu, both were excellent!!

Colina Village do a great Job....also there is a lovely Hotel in Portimao Marina that have lovely garden setting and do many local weddings....if interested I can get more info for you....
Good Luck....
ps....... Last weekend the Marina wedding had alovely touch by having a light aircraft towing a Banner message around the Garden Venue wishing the couple Good Luck with their names and two hearts..really nice........They come from Alvor Airport.....
There is also a private company in Lagoa that has a 5 acre garden plus Villa that they let out for weddings...once again if you need more info I am happy to chase up for you....
