Oh...I really hope Nightrider doesn't see that Digs.
Seriously though, it sounds ok...as long as it is fresh parmesan.

Nightrider's Savoury Cakes:(Bubble & Squeak style)
1 onion, finely chopped (Spring Onion if poss)
Left over sprotts
Left over mashed, butter, creamed & chived potatoe
Salt and Black pepper.
Mash all tog and make very small little flattish cakes and gently fry, until golden brown on each side.
I put them with cold Turkey,Stuffing, Sausage/bacon rolls. Roast potatoes, parsnips, peas and other veg etc...gravy & cranberry sauce.

Top Tip No.4 (or 5?):
liquidize those leftover brussel sprouts with a pint of milk, ice cubes and 8 oz of lard to make a "yummy" milk shake as a special christmas treat for the children next door.

What left over sprouts?

I thought there was a shortage of sprouts in the Algarve
My Mammy always made us eat all our greens.

That's why I grew into a large green man.

digger,
What do you have against Belgium and Brussels ??
Two months agoo, you didn't like the bloody belgian tourists
Now, there is something wrong with the Brussels Sprouts.
If Digger knew the common french name for brussels sprouts, he probably should have been more careful
CHOU DE BRUX(inha)
ELLES
Ellie or Bruxinha, could you help Digger with the meaning of "Chou" ?

Hi gerrit,
Bruxy is out at the moment helping some people...so I suspect she and/or Ellie will reply to your Sprotts question
Me personally, I LOVE my friends Wille & Linda (and their son who writes on this very forum) and who just happens to be Belguim....I also LOVE LOVE LOVE BELGUIM CHOCS..So with hand on heart if I had to choose between Sprotts and Chocs....well let me see now....would this be a difficult choice do you think
Nightrider pigs out again.
Belguim Chocs Rule.

What do The Belgians do with their leftovers then?
Digger,
Do you think that you could be skating on thin ice (or even ice cubes) by YOU............asking what Belgians might do with left over Sprouts(or even sprotts)

To nightrider,
If I had the choice between "Chocs" and "Chou", I think "Chou" will be deeply offended only by considering the choice.
To digger,
We give them to the dutch's, they never throw away anything.
(Sorry Peter)
