I Know ! I'll apologise in advance  I'm in the wrong section, but I thought more people would read it here :)
My daughter,21, has finished her seasonal work (lifegaurd) in the UK.She is coming to stay in CVO 'till end Feb/begin March.
I know it's along shot, but does anybody know of any jobs going thro' the winter ie bar work etc.
Any leads would be gratefully appreciated.
Yours Hopefully,
HP

Hi HP. Unfortunately, from the experiences of friends I know this is probably the worst time of year to find work in the Algarve. Most of the work here is seasonal and ends at the end of October and doesn't start up again until March/April. She might just be lucky but even a Portuguese friend of mine has recently finished her job at Zoomarine until next spring. The best thing might be if she can offer some sort of service or skill and promote herself amongst the expats. I wish her luck. :D

Sorry to be pessimistic but thought it better to say what I and others have experienced, so she doesn't come over and be disappointed or worse, bored sitting around and getting on your nerves. I know what you dads can be like.

It shouldn´t be too bad,we´ve found her a nice little flat in CVO.
Not far from the nightlife.
I´m hoping she´ll find some friends and enjoy herself.

Well, I am sure she will find a few friends. Although I am an old hag (I'll say that before Gambo does) there are several 20 to 30 year olds still around town. A few of us that go to the Algar Seco meet ups on Thursday nights aren't all that old either. :D
