Apartado Wanted

We tried to obtain an Apartado in either Cvo or Lagoa Post Office, when we were out in October, but there are none available.
As we are moving to Cvo in December we require one urgently. If anyone is giving theirs up, or has one they do not need, pm me and perhaps we could arrange to take it over (if that is possible).
Any other useful advice on the subject will be welcome.

Not sure how it works in a more urban area like Carvoeiro centre but out in the wilds we have a Caixa Postal number and a box (caixa) at the end of our lane, which sits with several other boxes on metal stilts/posts. You just get a form from the post office and fill it out and they give you a box to put up in a set location. Mr or Ms Postie then delivers to your box daily. Voilá. One of the less difficult jobs in Portugal but don't forget to take your fiscal number when you fill out the form.

....except when they run out of boxes - we waited about 3 months for ours

Ok...relatively less difficult then.

Thank you Bruxinha, that is useful information about the Caixa, but I think initially whilst we are in a rented property, an apartado will be useful.
I do think Armacao de Pera is a long way to go for the post though !!!
