We are staying in Carvoeiro for the first time from 30 Dec to 6 January. We'd like to know which good restaurants will be open during that time, particularly for New Year's Eve, whether the supermarket opens on 31 Dec, and if Carvoeiro has a New Year's Eve firework display. All info gratefully received.

I am going to "o Cantinho" on new year's eve, and I really enjoy the night, I must admit to having better meals in CVO, but on this night the place has a magic to it. Not sure you will get in at this "late" stage but give it a go and you might get a drink (small) off me!
