If you left much later than 6am, it would hardly be worth a day trip - so hope youre staying at least a night to take in plenty of the sights

A bus leaves from Lagoa to Seville twice a day. I don't know what times it leaves Lagoa but it leaves Faro at 8.20 and 3.35 so Lagoa times would be about an hour before that. You need a ticket in advance. It takes about 4 hours so not worth a day trip.

thanks for that. Yes, will be looking to stay in a hotel in the centre.

I checked for a friend in August and found out that the EVA bus left Lagoa at 07.15 and arrives in Sevilla at 13.00. I think it stops here, there and everywhere in the Algarve before crossing the border into Spain. It is obviously a lot longer than going by car!

Take a look at this site and you find the times and prices from Lagoa:
