Just heard, a Tornado is due to hit CVO between 4 & 8am romorrow morning, hope everyone will be ok

TURN TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED TODAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED AND ARE NOW NEAR 45 MPH...
75 KM/HR... WITH HIGHER GUSTS. CONTINUED WEAKENING IS EXPECTED
TODAY... AND VINCE IS EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE WITHIN THE NEXT 24

Tropical storm Vince is expected to hit Portugal at 6am Tuesday morning according to meteorologist José da Costa Teso. Vince is currently making its way to our coast line at 20 kilometres an hour he revealed in press conference today. The Civil Protection service has advised people to keep all doors and windows closed during the duration of the storm and for drivers to be extremely cautious when driving on the roads due to potential flooding

Well those cold winds do come straight at us from the Urals(or so I was told)..
must say I prefer Mablethorpe

A bit windy between 05.00 and 07.00 but nothing sensational.

Calm now with light rain.

Gone out to se the eye of the storm -it must have a cataract because I can't see the sun !!

LOL - that was supposed to be a tropical storm? I only had to put down a cloth under the leak in my roof - proper storms hit and I have to break out a pan or worst case, a bucket.

Well, it was a bit wild up here on my hill near Silves earlier this morning (couldn't get my old broom off the ground) but it all seems to have calmed down now. Only problem is, a friend of mine has left his car with me while he is away for a month and guess what??? The rear window don't close and I forgot to put some plastic over it. Whoops...hope it drys out before he's back
