went the other day to guia shopping ..bought a cup of coffee.....which came with.....
1 plastic spoon (to be thrown away)
2 spoon wrapped in film (to be thrown away)
3 2 bags of suger (paper to thrown away)
4 till receipt (to be thrown away)

in fact by the time I scrunched up all the waste stuff it was enough to half fill the cup.....

of course its the same with buying a shirt......loads of pins (throw em away) plastic bag..collar cardboard...plastic cuff links.....perhaps if we were not given so much rubbish in the first place we wouldnt need to recycle it later

32 bags of sugar ha! my wife does that … she doesn’t take sugar in her coffee, but when she sees all that sugar she cant help herself … she fills her handbag, takes it home and throws it in the kitchen cupboards.
Sunday lunch and I’m trying to find an oxo cube and I’m getting showered with little bags of sugar. I now duck when opening any cupboard and those little bags just bounce off … they can’t get me :D

Thanks digger...you have reminded me that we have a collection of in flight sugar, fresheners etc going back to when we used to take the kids to Corfu and Portugal. Must go and hunt them out and bin them. More unnecessary rubbish.

Martin...agree about the shirt wrappings. Have you tried getting into a pack of mains voltage halogen lamps. Needed the biggest pair of scissors in the house to get at them. A waste of processing energy and disposal costs.
