Yes Jack, they do. They cause enough pollution to get rid of little weeds on the golf course, so don't hang around.

Also on the cheap flights subject,Easyjet are flying from Newcastle to Faro 3 times a week from November to end of March,then daily for the summer.....graet news for cheap flights.

We tried to get flights from luton, gatwick and stanstead for october school holidays and they are a rip off.

sorry, I forgot to say the October school holidays that is.

Jet2.com are doing the usual thing...... you can get out to Faro for £1 but pay an arm and a leg if you want to get back to the UK

The Thomson cheap flights seem to be departing from airports I never knew existed. Doncaster?

It actually costs quite a lot to run an airline. Firms like easyjet minimise the cost by running the aircraft much harder. Charging a variable price for something is not 'a rip off', it's called 'the market economy' which is also why you get paid 3sh 6d (is that 3 shillings and sixpence?) per annum, and Wayne Rooney gets £10 billion. You see more people want to fly in the hols, so they can charge more which means, and listen carefully, they can run fuller aircraft on unpopular days by charging less. So, the school hols subsidise the non-school-hols days. Booking ahead works too.

We fly to faro from bristol 4-6 times year, and have paid from as little as £35 return to over £150 dependant on day, time of year ( holidays, New year . easter etc ) and how far ahead we book.

We can leave work at 2.30 pm and be in Albufufeira having dinner by 8.30 pm.
There is no way we could do that if we had to travel to Gatwick, B,ham, Coventry where maybe the flight would be cheaper.

Look at the total cost, time, travel, parking etc NOT just the flight cost.
