Café Ingles is cool ... man

Café Ingles is friendly, light & airy, beautifully positioned with a great view from on the roof

and is probably the only bar in the whole of pt that’s not 100% Portuguese that I’d recommend (but I dont get out much)

Marisqueira Rui (Seafood)
Recanto dos Mouros (great black pig)
Ponte Romana
Alambique (International restaurant in Poço Barreto, 10 mins from Silves)
Café Ingles...agree with Digs...has ambience/decor that Portuguese places don't normally have.

Haven't tried O Cais nor Casa Velha but both recommended by people.

I can recommend Casa Velha and Cafe Ingles - particularly good on a summer afternoon with live music.
