I am after recommendations for a good bar that has regular live music, no karaoke, not smokey and which is open all year round - somewhere you can be sure of a good evening without having to shout.

Open all year round and live music are important. Music can be solo artist with pre-recorded backing tracks.

Any suggestions?

A lot of bars now offer live music at least once a week, but probably the Jailhouse would be your best bet. I think there's info somewhere on this site.

The Jailhouse has regular live music with Bobby Stardust and various guest musicians, some of whom are very accomplished - he has very good connections. He regularly has guys up there who have played with vey famous people - plus he is very entertaining anyway. Take the left hand road from the square and it is the first on the left by the post office - you wll see the sign up the hill. I can guarantee you will have a good time!

flic flac is a must on fridays and sundays,the music is spot on give it a try.
