We are coming to Carveiro on Boxing Day and staying untill after the New Year. Are there many restaurants open on Boxing Day and over the Christmas/New Year period? If so do we have to book?

Hi there Brady Bunch, Yes its a very bussy over the christmas and new year period, and it would be advisable to book a restaurant so as not to be disapointed. Enjoy the firework display on New Years Eve.
Best Wishes.

Morning Brady Bunch
We were in Carvoeiro from Boxing Day last year through to New Year. It was quite busy but we found that several of our regular restaurants were closed for the Christmas/New Year period. Some also close for the whole of January. May be worth having a scout round on the first day to see who is open and who is not.

Michael and I go for Christmas and New Year! Most of the restaurants are open but there are exceptions. There are an awful lot of shops in CVO closed until the end of January too.
We ate at Casa do Bife on New Years Eve last year. We hadn't booked (there were 4 of us) yet they squeezed us in and the service and food was excellent. We enjoyed it much we are going back this year.

Yes, I take your point Michael C, But we are fortunarte in that we have Christmas dinner surrounded by our family,at our home in Lagos. which being a
Yorkshire man, is much
cheaper than eating out
