From Portugal News section of this weeks Resident

"Portuguese are the most irritable and bad tempered people"

Quote

Traffic jams, badly behaved children, disagreements between couples, red tape and queues all add up to make the Portuguese the most irritable, bad tempered and explosive nation in Europe.

This is the shocking results of a public survey carried out in 17 countries throughout the European Union by Reader’s Digest in conjunction with leading universities. But the British aren’t far behind, coming a close second according to the study. The reasons? Traffic jams, train and metro delays, work pressure, stress and, of course, the unpredictable wet weather

Bear in mind that polls are in general carp. My evidence for this is that Bill Gates was voted 'Top Jumper Wearer of the Year 2001', a title previously held by Giles Brandreth and Albert Speer, and that Robbie Williams was voted 'the man most likely to restore peace and democracy in Iraq' by a bunch of PR types.

I believe Bill gates was the top jumper wearer in 2001. Giles's star was already on the wane and as for Albert the fairisle pattern was becoming passe by then especially on a corpse. As for Robbie and Iraq my guess is he probably has as much chance as Bush or Blair of getting things sorted

Question for 'Mike'

If you find it boring why don't you go and do something you don't consider boring instead of making stupid little remarks. Nobody gives a bugger whether you find something boring or not.

Sofi and John.
Actually I think it is quite rude for someone to reply 'move this it is boring'.
Maybe you think differently.
I also think that your remarks are very rude, much more so than mine.

Perhaps you would like to explain why it is ok to say 'move this it is boring' and not alright to say what I said.

In fact why don't you both go and do something more useful. I replied to a posting and got told I was 'boring' and I reacted. Which is reasonable. What you two think you are contributing I can't imagine. I suppose Countdown isn't on so your afternoon is so dull you decided to type some random arsey comment.

Well done. Why don't you have another go

Mike,Chislehurst, a "Guest" can't post on Chit Chat.

The last time I looked at a map, Carvoeiro was in Portugal.

The topic is no more boring, or intersting, than, say, barking dogs.
