just been reading this weeks afpop section..which says that after a long round of talks between the estrangeiros office and afpop to make the "agony and estacy" of getting residence easier ...shock horror... its all been to no avail...because the portuguese government have said that they are implementing an eu directive which says e.u citizens dont need to apply for residency.........

Well, I for one, won't be shedding a tear over not going to the office in Portimão ever again

That lovely welcoming building with its long flights of stairs, the 2 or 3 brown seats outside the one narrow door with a chain across, the rotweiler chief and nearly having punch ups with the queue jumpers, who always "just want a little information"...oh happy memories

now the poor russians and ukrainians will not doubt be the butt of their stupidity..instead of welcoming the eastern european doctors and scientists and dentists they relegate them to work as cleaners and labourers
