here in cascais it’s been raining for about the last hour, and beautiful it was too

Hey Digger congrats! It has become very cloudy here this evening too and I thought I felt spits and spots in the air

However, it started like that this morning and then the sun belted its way through again. The bbc weather forecast does show rain for the Algarve tomorrow...fingers crossed...sorry tourists

And its still raining! Glad I'm here for 4 WEEKS !!!! Think we're going to get in the shower in a minute and dress up and go for lunch--oh its such a drag being on holiday isnt it? Its nice that its raining though and the garden needs it. You cant cope with that heat all the time- can you?

Did it rain for long?

not really - a couple of hours, and it wasn't that heavy

I imagine Portugal needs a good solid wet winter to restore water levels to anything like satisfactory. A shower is not going to make any difference.

Stopped raining in Silves outback and now the sun is trying to poke through and I can see some blue bits appearing. I think we are going to have to wait until the autumn folks

Twice in two days eh? Folks will think it is monsoon season.
