I saw the dreaded train being done up with balloons and flowers, what's going on anyone know?

I followed it this evening about quarter to 8 heading towards Lagoa. It was absolutely packed with people. There was some sort of sign on it about a Ferragudo social event. Everybody on it seemed in a jolly mood waving at all the cars they were holding up travelling at 5mph!!

5 mph eh ? Put it metric at 8kph and it will sound faster. I thought the pace of life in Algarve was part of the attraction.
