Driving from Santander to Lagos

Johnny..Leon....the 630 to Zaragoza..Salamanca..Caceres..cross into Portugal at Badajoz..then E90 across then E01 (Setubal) drive down a way and you should pick up signs for Lagos......if thats any help..
this is Hub speaking not me...I still get lost here in Lincolnshire :? :roll:
Was told by friend on here ..dont cross into Portugal further north as the border guards are bored and will pull you over ......
at Badajoz you can cross in comfort now(so Im told :) )......good luck..ellie

Nah..not true..cross at Formosa..stay the night in Formosa Hotel £30...lovely hotel inc breakfast for two..and eat that night until you are sick on huge prawns ..crab...etc etc....real cheapo jusrt across the road.......best sea food place other than Algarve itself......been there every two months for years.never had a problem with being 'Pullede over'

P.S. or Johnny..you could drive down to Seville and come into Algarve that way?

Honestly.....if pos..go Salamanca...WONDERFUL old City......night stop and then Formosa Hotel...night stop and try the seafood joint across the road..you wont be disappointed...just trying to help..as is my old friend Elle....who Ive been windding up for years...Hi Elle...me again

Sorry...been away.....I dont think you will get Lock up parking in any of the 'economy' car parks just the usual forcourt Hotel car parks..Formosa has forcourt parking and usually I can get a space but if you have lots in your car then better you go for something else.but Im not sure what..even Hotel underground parking can be a bit dodgy...however I can say in all the years Ive been doing this trip its been very safe..unlike Italy or Central France where Ive been 'Done' (France three times)......Portugal is a lovely and very safe place....I would just take out real valuables to your room.......have a good tripo.......

OH...and Hi Elle.....seems theres three of us...? whats this about a Bird View ??

Oh and furthermore I think the Glider man at Alvor is a very nice German person.....he did an article in 'Resident' some time back..with Photos and all...and takes people for rides ..in the nicest possible way of course..so I think we are three in this affair..... 8)
