I have now been knocked 2 years running by my villa agents for rentals!
Any body got any ideas, what I should do, it also seems they have done it to other CVO owners!

Sorry to but in as I don't know what you can do with regards to this - but I was just wondering what services you usually want from a villa agent?

Ther are many good agents here.....surely you tie down an agreement before going ahead...I did so with mine and she is very good......but I wonder what you require..does your find clients in which case they take a lot of commission..or do you do that side od things....

ps....I'm currently looking for small t1 and T2 to rent in Alvor area..I have single cliens looking for this type of thing all the time....anybody have any to rent.....

My agent agreed a 6 month contract from May for a fixed amount, now he sais he hasnt been able to fill the villa and can only pay me for the bookings he has done.

What precisiely do you mean by knocked?

To be honest, we only go via friends and referrals and we find that works fine, the villas busy until the 19th October which is fine by me. Our management agent who rents out but not ours is finding it tough again this year mainly due to the tour companies cutting back which is almost certainly where your problem is. Try some of the villa rental sites for more publicity or of course Carvoeiro.com rentals. I should add that we always discount the agent bit by 20%, makes a big difference. We also changeover Wednesdays which makes the flights competetive. Mike and sorry about spelling.
