There is a wonderful gift shop near the beach in Carvoeiro. Sells pottery paintings etc. It is just next to Charly's Bar. Does anyone know the name . Or a contact number or email for them. I would like to order something from there

Is it me or does anyone else think these sort of posts (of which there are many) are a roundabout way of advertising and are actually nothing to do with an enquiry at all ??

Whats the problem guest oes it upset you? Theres nothing wrong with a little bit of free advertising-if thats what it is. Its good to see people being so enterprising! By the way I'm in cvo for 4 weeks if anyone would like to book an indian head massage........

Doesn't really trouble me I guess - if the webmaster and the mods are happy with it then - advertise away

We have to make judgements on these sort of posts all the time - it's not always obvious whether people are genuinely asking for help, or advertising.
I try to give the benefit of the doubt where possible, but not if it's blatant - lots of locals support this site by paying for ads so, quite understandably, they object to others getting free publicity.
