Ive done that ride a few times in early hours and it was 17 euros but not since the meters were brought in.May be cheaper now?

Whilst we are on taxis. my daughter and her chums are coming out soon and will rely heaviy on taxis - they are all under 21 and therefore cannot hire a car. Will local taxis take return pick up orders? I am thinking of beach and super market trips?

yeah im sure they will mate they may have to pay up front for return fair as i had to do that in ireland in march,but im sure it will be ok mate

just hoping for further info on taxi prices - so its 17-20 euros to go carvoeiro to praia da rocha in the early hours of the morn, what price is it during the day/early evening?

maybe a little less but not much in it, go on the bus to lagoa then bus to portimao which is right next to praia da rocha it your going during day early evening think that is only a few euros each then you can get taxi back if your going to be late

your best bet amo is to go into the tourist office in the square in carvoeiro and get bus times tables,eva the bus company is,ask the girl in there,i think the bus should leave from just up the hill from smilers and will take you to lagoa there you will chain at main bus station for portimao which is also a lovely place with nice marina and loads of shops if you haven beeb b4 which is right next to praia da rocha,you can walk between them in 20 minutes,should only cost a couple of euros compare to that of near 20 for a taxi,in evening but you normally have to get a taxi due to lack of buses

oh sorry i would say allow one hour compare to that of less than half an hour by taxi but be sure to make sure of your connections from lagoa,get timetable from tourist office ok
